Contemporary Bharathanatyam

is a class that combines concepts of both Bharathanatyam, a classical dance from South India (Tamil Nadu) with concepts from contemporary dance. Classes will start with a light stretching/cardio type warmup and then we will work through different positions of the hands, leg rhythms (requires some light stomping) and arm positions. We'll end by putting it all together and improvising with skills we learned in class!
