Member Appreciation Month
February is Membership Appreciation and Information Month at Tapestry!
Membership has been an important aspect of Tapestry’s organizational culture since our founding over 40 years ago. This month is an intentional invitation to pause and reconnect with the deeper meaning of membership at Tapestry. Beyond dance discounts, membership is about belonging—about shared stewardship of a place where dance and music weave people into community across generations, cultures, and lived experiences. As an organization rooted in participation, hospitality, and joy, Tapestry thrives when members feel not only welcomed, but invested—when they see themselves as co-creators of the community we are building together. This month we invite current members to engage in events that allow you to deepen relationships with current members and have a larger voice in the organization’s future. We invite those who have drifted away from membership to find renewed connection. And, we invite non-members into a fuller experience of Tapestry - one that includes voice, care, and shared ownership of our future. View special member events below. February 20 (6-7 pm) or 22 (5-6 pm).
Enjoy light appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages before Friday or Sunday night dances as you socialize with other members and Executive Director Sherisa Oie. Sherisa will give a mid-fiscal year update and offer a chance for Q&As.
Saturday, February 28 from 5-6pm
Sometimes the deepest connection comes over a shared meal. Bring a dish to share, make some new friends, and deepen relationships with those you already know while enjoying background music from some of our skilled Tapestry musicians. A strategic planning community conversation will immediately follow - offering you a chance to give voice to the future direction of Tapestry.
Starting February 13, pick up a special Tapestry Member Appreciation Gift at the Admissions Desk! Just show your membership card - digital or physical.
