RENTAL ROYAL SCOTTISH COUNTRY DANCE SOCIETY MONDAY
7:00 - 7:30pm Review/preview session (beginners strongly encouraged to attend)
7:30 - 10:00pm General class
What to Expect: We offer weekly classes where participants can learn the footwork, formations, and technique of Scottish country dancing and use them in a variety of traditional and modern Scottish country dances. Classes usually use recorded music but occasionally feature live music. Dress casually (kilts not required!), wear soft-soled shoes (ballet slippers or jazz shoes are ideal if you have them), and don’t worry about bringing a partner. Classes are taught on a rotating basis by one of our staff of trained teachers.
Classes are generally offered from late September through early May and occasionally during the summer. Contact us to confirm the schedule if you are coming for the first time or visiting.
Classes are free to members of the RSCDS – Twin Cities Branch. Non-members pay $5 per class, but if you are new to Scottish country dancing, there’s no charge to check it out; we offer a six week free trial period.
