Julissa Angelik – Dance Instructor, is a dance instructor, performer, choreographer, singer, percussionist, and educator. She began her career at the age of five receiving training in many styles of Peruvian and international dances. She has performed with different Peruvian Dance Companies, also on television and numerous theaters in Lima, Peru. Likewise, she has participated in many dance competitions receiving recognition for her talent and passion for dance. Julissa has taught Afro-Peruvian dance and Latin American dance in different dance institutions and have also performed social Latin dances at international festivals and local institutions in Ohio, Illinois, and Minnesota. Currently, she is part of two spectacular bands in Minneapolis. She is the lead singer of a fine orchestra that plays authentic tropical beats and Latin grooves from throughout Latin America and a dancer and singer of a unique experimental art project that fuses Gypsy Iberian, Latin American and Middle East Folk.
Chico Chavez – Master Percussionist – Drummer; Performing & Visual Artist, Producer, Manager and Music Director’s dedication in learning and exploring music roots and world rhythms are reflected in his unique sound. Mr. Chavez has performed with multiple local artists and bands, has formed several ensembles and musical groups, and mentored many emerging artists in the Twin Cities.
