Spotlight Series: Cajun with Flory Katz
Saturdays: Nov 1, 8, 15, 22, 7:30 - 8pm
Flory is an avid Cajun and Zydeco dancer and an active Board member of Krewe de Walleye, the local Cajun/Zydeco organization. She polishes her steps by traveling to Southwest Louisiana several times a year to dance with the locals and travels to various festivals around the country. Flory has taught Creole and Cajun dance styles at the Amana Zydeco Festival in Iowa and most recently was a featured instructor at the 14th annual Cascade Zydeco Dance Camp in Mt. Hood, Oregon. You can also find her at the Half Time Rec in St. Paul giving lessons before the Sunday night dances.

Swing Workshop: Tandem Charleston Intensive
Saturday, December 6th: 10am-1pm
Develop your understanding and ability to add Charleston figures to your Lindy Hop or East Coast Swing on the social floor! Students will learn smooth effective ways to seamlessly dance in and out of tandem Charleston, then we.ll explore lots of possible variations in tandem position. The session is rounded out with a few sequences of varying degrees of difficulty.

Contra Weekend with Cangeling and Carol Ormand

Changeling presents the fire and stark beauty of celtic traditions with .the power of ten in the package of two.. They travel from concert halls to dance halls, delighting fans and winning friends with their tunes, songs, and stories. Carol Ormand has been calling traditional contra and square dances since 1990, and regularly calls at dances, weekends, and festivals all over the United States. . “She is beloved for her smooth unflappable style, wickedly fun dances, and penchant for keeping all the dancers on the floor smiling.”
