This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a Minnesota State Arts Board Operating Support grant, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
Jamie Berg finds herself especially attracted to dances from these regions-perhaps because she lives in Minnesota. She has been dancing for 26 years and teaching 12. Come learn a gentle dance from Tahiti. In Hawaii, E. Huli is a peaceful hula that encourages you to love life. Pata Pata is a popular dance from South Africa. We'll also learn dances from Mexico, India, Spain, Bolivia, the Phillipines, and may "go a bit northward" to Italy for Neopolitan Tarantella to heat up the blood!
Have a work schedule that gives you daytime flexibility? Don’t like to go out at night? This program is designed for both new and experienced dancers, adults college-age and up, who want a daytime option to dance and enjoy other people who also like to dance. We’ll go around the globe, from March – June.
