Techno Contra is a catch phr ase for high energy Contra dancing to modern music accompanied by special effects lighting. The music could be what you hear on the radio\, or any o ther modern genre. The tempo is typically more lively than a traditional C ontra dance\, and the length of time a dance lasts may vary from signle so ngs to medleys. Techno Contra conveys energy and club dancing even though much of the music may be pop\, celtic fusion\, or electronica rather than strictly techno.
